Compact Machine Lamination with ILS-6A Isostatic Press

" Homogeneous pressing contributes to significantly improved quality of the resulting ceramic components... "

ILS 6 is one of the most compact isostatic laminators available on the market. Its easy operation and low maintenance result in a low cost of ownership.

In comparison to pressing between steel plates, the machine lamination with isostatic press of green ceramic bars results in a completely uniform pressure all over the bar.

This homogeneous pressing contributes to significantly improved quality of the resulting ceramic components because of increased reliability and yield.

Presses up to 40 6”x6” bars simultaneously
Easy to operate, quick product turn-around time
Low maintenance
Compact design, takes little floor space
Stores up to 99 pressure programs
Maximum temperature 85 °C
Pressure up to 42 MPa or 6,000 psi

The ILS 6 isostatic laminator consists of a piston with cavity submerged in a vessel filled with deionized water. Both the whole cylinder and water are accurately kept on the temperature set by the operator.

Green ceramic bars vacuum-sealed in plastic bags are put into an easy-to-handle rack that uses the space in the pressure vessel optimally. The operator can places the rack into the piston while standing in front of the machine. After closing the door as a safety measure the operator can start the pressure cycle. The machine moves the piston into the pressure vessel automatically by smoothly operating motors.

The ceramic bars are pressurized in accordance with the program entered by the operator. A pressure program for slow increase of the pressure, or increases in several pressure steps can be entered.

An optional vacuum sealing machine can be used in addition to machine lamination with ILS-6A isostatic press to prepare the next lot of bars while the machine is pressing the previous lot. The machine requires little maintenance due to its sturdy design. The pressure generator and gaskets have proven themselves with years and years of daily use in the field. Change of gaskets is easy by a special lifting system of the piston by motors.

Only high quality parts from top producers are used to optimize reliability and lower your cost in operation.
