" Laboratory Tape Caster CAM T-1 - designed to cast
slurries in labs or small scale productions "
|

Laboratory tape caster is design to cast slurries in labs or small
scale productions in to homogeneous tape. Tape is cast
on to carrier PET film.
Carrier film is unwounded from a
roll with adjustable torque control, which determines carrier tape
tension. Carrier tape is guided through casting head
where slurry is deposited by doctor blade method.
Casting gap is easy adjustable by micrometer
screws. Gape measurement is done by two measuring
gauges (readout in micrometers or mills). High precision tungsten
carbide doctor blade and granite bottom ensures high precision casting
down to 5 micrometers.
Slurry fed is done by gravity from a slurry
vessel. Slurry level in a fully covered Teflon casting
box is determined by height of inlet slurry tube.
Casting speed is adjustable. Up to four meter long drying section covered
by glass plate and connection to factory exhaust is
available for tape drying.
Amount of fresh air and
exhausted air is adjustable by flappers. Optionally machine can be equipped
with additional hot air inlet and/or bottom plate
heating for more efficient drying.
At the end tape is wound together with carrier
film in to a roll.

"CAM-M1
tape casting machine : Fully
automatic casting gap control with auto zero calibration... "
|
The CAM-M1 tape casting
machine is designed and built to meet the most stringent customer demands. A need for higher automation
levels and higher accuracy’s led to this truly innovative
caster.
The automated continuous slurry dosage
can be performed through a slotted die system that allows
a +/-10 micrometer slurry level height. The CAM-M1
presents our new innovative generation of casters that
feature fully automatic casting gap control, with auto zero calibration.
 | Suitable for green ceramic thicknesses from 5 to 150 microns
(0.2 to 6 mils) |
 | Suitable for solvent based and water based systems |
 | Automatic tracking of carrier foil |
 | Compact size requiring minimum floor space |
 | High accuracy in thickness control and stability |
 | Slotted die slurry feeding to doctor blade |
 | Optional Advanced slurry dosage with micrometer level
control |
 | Optional Stepper motor controlled high accuracy doctor blade |
On a touch screen you can monitor the process
continuously. Using preset menus you can quickly start up
a new casting run under the exactly correct conditions,
while easy adjustments are continuously possible.
An auto tracking system assures a perfectly
wound carrier and ceramic tape.
The system has numerous safety features
that allow safe operation when utilizing flammable
solvents. The counter flow filtered hot air dryer can be
compartmentalized to fine-tune the exact conditions needed for high productivity of perfect tapes.
If your tape systems require additional
modification of the casting equipment, we will test your system with you and modify the machine to meet all its requirements.

"Fully stabilized steel belt in combination with automatic
feeding of suspensions and winding of tape... CAM 22
tape casting machine"
|
Features
such as the fully stabilized steel belt in combination
with automatic feeding of suspensions and winding of tape
provide a competitive edge to CAM 22 owners.
The machine
is based on a continuous seamless steel belt and a doctor
blade casting unit. Special attention is paid to the
control of belt speed, tension and tracking.
Active
control of casting and drying parameters is used to establish
stable conditions that also ensure long belt life.
Pressurized air propels the suspension flow into the doctor
blade casting head.
 | Suitable for green ceramic thicknesses from 15 – 90
microns (0.6 to 3.5 mil)
|
 | Stabilized high airflow compartments in dryer improve drying
speed |
 | 1.5 times higher casting speed as other casters with
same length dryers |
 | Suitable for solvent-based systems |
 | Closed loop slurry supply and level control |
 | No-contact thickness
gauge for improved quality control
(optional) |
 | Automatically feeds suspension to casting head |
The casting head sits on the belt. Width of the tape is adjusted and controlled by Teflon edge limiters, which slide on the belt.
Thickness of the resulting green tape is easily and precisely set with micrometer screws that accurately determine the gap between blade and belt.
The tape is dried in a tunnel oven with filtered hot air in counter flow.
In keeping with safety requirements when using flammable solvents, the air is heated outside of the oven. The drying regime is controlled by the flow of air over the surface of the tape.
Special curtains allow belt speed to be increased in many cases by a factor of 1.5 compared to regular dryers, without damage to the tape quality. Optionally additional heaters from bottom side of casting belt can be installed. A razor blade helps release the tape from the belt.
Foil take-up is achieved by winding on a roll.
An interleaf can be used to avoid any sticking of the tape to itself.
